Andy hello. Just found out how to put my review of The Death of Jessica Ripley on Goodreads so am pasting here for you to see. Will add to Amazon when it is published, not long to wait now. Pity that we now have to wait for another dose of Eddie or perhaps Roger. Would like to know how Roger is getting on now he is a single man.

Review: I have read all of the Eddie Collins stories whether short stories or full novels. I thought Eddie had lightened up a little in this latest novel. Still not suffering fools gladly but not as grumpy. Loved his interaction with his father and his colleagues and also his efforts to date the office receptionist. Jessica Ripley has just come out of prison after 12 years for a crime she didn’t commit and wants to make contact with her son who was two when she was sent to jail. Unfortunately for Jessica her son rejects her which only compounds her feeling the need for revenge. The writing was, as always, superb and moved along nicely. The characters were rounded and some I liked, others not, which in my mind is just as it should be. I really like finding new authors that I enjoy reading and this has been the case with these SOCO/CSI stories. This one was a great story, gritty in places, and felt very true to life.

Remind me not to read your books if it’s late @ night & I’m home alone! I just read The Lock that you sent me & I thought I would be bored…….instead I was chilled! If I had heard a THUMP I would have ducked under the covers! This is a good thing! You’ve done your job and I enjoyed it!

Hi Jaye! That I managed to chill you is a compliment indeed, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed The Lock. Thanks very much for getting in touch and letting me know; it’s very kind of you. I hope you go on to read more of Eddie’s books, and stick around for The Death of Jessica Ripley later this year.

Greetings from San Francisco – I’m the author of Pretty City Murder, published 5-15-18, and I blog occasionally about my law enforcement experience – a friend of mine, San Franciscan Mel Figoni, author of And The Vine Dripped Blood, writes from the perspective of a former investigator, too – Bob

Hi Bob, it’s a pleasure to hear from you. I hope you and Mel are enjoying success with your own crime novels. There really is no genre quite like the crime genre, especially if that’s the world you inhabit – we’re very lucky people! Take good care, Andy

Hi Denyse, it’s great to hear from you. I hope you and your daughter enjoyed reading the book. If you’d like to get A Long Time Dead and The Lift for free, you’ll need to confirm your subscription to my newsletter. It seems you have only partially subscribed. As far as using your real name or a pen name when publishing your book, I’m afraid I’m not much help to you – it’s a matter of personal taste and circumstance. Though you might bear in mind that if you intend contacting your readers on social media, then it means setting up those accounts in your pen name too. I hope this helps a little, and I wish you success with your writing. Take care, Andy.

hi Andrew. I have finished The Thirds Rule and am blown away by the story and your attention to detail. No doubt the attention comes with your job as CSI. I loved the book and have posted a review on Amazon, my own blog anhttp://books&morebooks2017.wordpress.com and NetGalleyI tried to post it on Goodreads but unfortunately, the book isn’t on there yet. I thought you would like to know so that your publishers can follow up with Goodreads.

Hi Judith, it’s great to meet you here! Thank you so much for your wonderful review of The Third Rule – I always appreciate hearing from readers who enjoy being immersed in a lengthy read. Allow me to post the Goodreads page in case you’d like to drop your review there: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/29233105-the-third-rule
I think the new edition will be amalgamated into the old ones, so all reviews are still relevant.
Also, let me just mention your website here because I found it difficult to open (you need the word ‘and’ in the title): https://booksandmorebooks2017.wordpress.com/
      Take care,
      Andrew

    Hi Andy,
Thank you for ‘The note’. I was in the Kent Police for 31 years, and wanted to be a S.O.C.O. but they civilianised the role. However, we had great police SOCOs and they were like your character, Eddie – efficient and no holds barred. We had a D/C/I just like DS Trafford. Thought they were God’s gift to C.I.D. I shall leave an Amazon revue for this excellent book.
    John Endicott.

      Hi John,
Good to hear from you. I’m pleased to hear that you enjoyed The Note, and thanks for your comments about the characters – I’ve worked with plenty of police SOCOs in my time, and all were wonderful people who taught me a lot. I think every station has at least one Trafford, don’t you? Many thanks for leaving a review, John,

Hi Jana, it’s great to see you here.
Because of the new editions coming out over the next few months, my writing time has shrunk considerably, but rest assured I’ll be on with the new Eddie book as soon as time permits. I hope to have it ready for release by the back end of this year – and perhaps a new short story too! We’ll see.

    Hello Andrew,
I was just checking to see if I was on your ARC list. I hope so. I love CSI books.

Hi Beverlee, thanks for getting in touch. I’ll be sending out an email this weekend inviting people to register for the Advance Reader’s Team, and I’d love you to click your acceptance. The End of Lies is a psychological thriller; it’s different from all my other books, but I hope you, and others, enjoy it just as much – I certainly had a blast writing it. There are no CSIs in this one (much to Eddie’s annoyance).
